What Causes Constipation And Lower Back Pain After Taking Oxycodone?
Question: I had foot surgery a week ago. I am taking oxycodone for pain. I am constipated and my lower back hurts. I have a feeling of pressure, like I need to move my bowels, but I cant. Is it just regular constipation, or since my back hurts too, should I be concerned?

Constipation could be due to Oxycodone.Please stop the medicine.Please drink plenty of liquids, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, take high fiber diet.If there is no response, you should take Lactulose solution 10ml at bed time.
Back ache could be due to musculoskeletal cause.
I prefer tablet containing Aceclofenac 100mg and Thiocolchicoside 4mg twice daily. This tablet covers post operative pain too.
