Question: My sister seems confused, couldn't remember simple things like how to make the bed. Tried to make a new pot of coffee when coffee pot was still half full and made a big mess. Seems agitated and couldn't talk on the phone. Could it be a XXXXXXX stroke?

Brief Answer:
yes, looks like a stroke. get her examined by a doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Thanks for writing to health care magic!

I have gone through your query carefully and can see that your sister has some neurological symptoms.

- She is unable to perform simple daily tasks and has problem in communicating on phone as well (i.e. has difficulty in speaking words).. all these are pointing towards possible cerebrovascular accident or as you said - a XXXXXXX stroke. (But it is not that XXXXXXX as it is affecting her general competence more than physical strength &she needs some urgent help).

The cause could be hypertension or may be something else.

I think she needs to be throughly examined, preffrably be a neurologists or atleast a physician. The cause of the neurological problem should be found and treated to prevent further damage.

She already has rheumatoid arthritis and is on medication for the same. Her current medications should also be checked and reveised, if needed.

Please check if -her condition is increasing, or now stable or, she is showing some recovery?

Dont worry but surely take her to a doctor and discuss the above points.

I hope the reply is useful for you.
Please feel free to ask more queries for clarification.
