What Causes Clear Water Discharge From Anus In Children?
Question: My son is eighth years old, he is having a clear water caming from his (anus) a rectal discharge a lot, he has pain and he feels heat before the water comes out, for the last 7 days, and this was going on and off for the last 1 year, we been to different doctors and stools was examined but all results were negative,what is causing this? and what is the solution or cure?.

- Pain and feels heat before the water comes out. This is called tenesmus, and is indicative of severe form of colitis, causing spasm and so on. Scopinal will work only if the basic cause is treated. Scopinal is just a anti-spasmodic.
Aspirin has no role in such a problem.
- For last 7 days- this is long time to suffer for a child.
- Consulted different Doctors, stool was examined but all results were negative.
The causes:
As per the age of the patient and history you have provided, this is severe form of colitis and need the investigations and treatment properly.
I would advise you the following in such a case.
Antibiotic and metronidazole along with probiotic, scopinal for 5 day. This is by the clinical presentation and in spite of negative stool tests; the patient is suffering and hence needs to be treated on the clinical grounds.
If there is result continue and the boy will be fine.
If there is no complete results, further tests and consultation of a Pediatrician or gastroenterology should be sought after.
Stool should be tested for 3 consecutive days
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Colonoscopy and CT scan only if needed tried to avoid in a child)

Thanks Doctor, the child, what is coming out is same times clear water, and very powerful when it's coming out you can hear the water shooting, but the child have no temperature and have not lost weight, so please Doctor what is name of this problem?
