Brief Answer:
Bronchitis takes time to cure up to a week

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You may be suffering from Acute viral bronchitis. Bronchitis the fever can be high and accompanied by chills and rigors.

Your doctor should have prescribed you antibiotics like Amoxicillin. Please take them according to the prescribed dose. Along with the antibiotics you should take antipyretics for the sweat like TYLENOL 500mg, up to four times a day for two days. With this your fever should settle down and night sweats too.

You should feel better in a week's time. I think it is early to feel better. You should continue to rest and take ample fluids. If you smoke please quit it. Do you have cough you can take the prescribed cough medicine or any over the counter antitussive like ROBUTUSSIN syrup. This will clear.

Hope this information helps.
