Brief Answer:
needs examination & Investigations

Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It could be muscle (spasm), nerve (irritation, infection), lung or pleura, rarely the heart
He needs to be examined ...
Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis
Diagnosis needs physician consultation and investigations…
The exact location in the chest, intensity, features that bring on or relieve the pain, personal habits, associated morbidity and so on need consideration.
Investigations like X-ray chest, ECG, blood counts have to be done
Muscle relaxants will be useful in the meanwhile...
Take him to an Internist (medical specialist)

Take care
Good luck

Brief Answer:
Get investigated

Detailed Answer:
Hi

A normal chest X-ray excludes several major things / it is reassuring…

If it is over a small place, it is likely to be a local cause –
It could be Costochondritis (Rib & Cartilage)

Over The Counter Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs OTC – NSAID like Ibuprofen or naproxen / hot packs may help...
Chlorzoxazone is in common use and is available in combination with Paracetamol (Myospaz) / but most muscle relaxants need prescription… So also Anxiolytics… This facility does not allow/encourage prescription services…

Prognosis is generally excellent in such situations…
