Brief Answer:
muscular pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild pain that you feel in the middle of chest is likely to be a muscular pain. This can happen if the warming up exercises and stretching before the exercises is not done properly or adequately.
Doing too much, too soon and too fast creates problem.
Other factors are
Poor fitness levels and lack of regular exercises
Poor nutrition and obesity
Some times referred pain from bulging discs is the reason.

Treatment is done by
Rest
Icing of the area. If pain persists, take anti inflammatory drugs and local gel
Prevention
Take enough calcium,VIT D and B complex vitamins
Do stretching for 15 minutes before you start exercise.

I hope this answers your query.

I believe this should cure it. One thing i did nit mention that it is happening from the last 6 months. Sometimes pain will be there till 4-5 hours.

I hope no checkup required for this.

Note: i did not go to gym for the last 3 weeks but i still get this pain sometime when i sleep upside down.

Brief Answer:
No check up needed right now.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If there is no shortness of breath or sweating associated with the pain then any cardiac cause is not likely. Taking mild pain killer with a muscle relaxant and hot fomentation should bring the desired relief.
In case the pain is severe or recurrent then do get the necessary investigations done after consulting an orthopedician.
Hope my answer is helpful.
