Brief Answer: need urologist consultation for best outcome Detailed Answer: Hi, First and the foremost important cause of burning in urine (dysuria) is infection. sometimes, it may not be shown up in urine analysis. you need culture of urine. Secondly, cystitis, inflammation of the bladder can also cause dysuria. presence of RBC in urine suggests this. Last, LUTS (Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms) define a group of diseases that result in different symptoms, one of which is burning in urine. With all these possibilities in card, i suggest you to consult a urologist. A FINAL WORD - Any urinary symptom in a post menopausal women should be thoroughly evaluated, best done by a Urologist.
