What Causes Burning Sensation On The Penis Tip?

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Feb 2017
Question: I am taking Doxycycline Hyalite 100mg cap twice a day - I also took a Zithromax pack 250mg 4-pills at one time. But its not helping - I still have a burning at the tip of my penis and in my rectum. Originally the doctor prescribed it for an infection in my rectum, but I don't know if thats correct or if he's not giving me enough dosage. I also may have a std, I've been tested but haven't got results back. My penis is very uncomfortable in a burning manner. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Can be fungal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HCM

Most likely it can be fungal infection,As fungal infection is very common in area around groins and genitals.Your doctor has treated you with antibiotics which are usually effective against bacteria.
However antifungal medicines like fluconazole should be used o treat fungal infections.
Along with oral anti fungals combination of antifungal creams should be used along with antifungal powders.A SMEAR should be aken from tip of penis to test the presence of fungal infection.
I would suggest you to visit a skin and veneral disease expert and get your penis physically examined and discuss the above mentioned options with him.
Thanks!
