Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query under Health care magic. I have gone through it & understand your concern.
Your fathers symptoms of skin tingling/burning can be due to-
- Vitamin B12 drficiency... can be cured after vitamin B12 suppliments.
-- Age wise cause can be degenerative spondylosis causing pressure on the nerves suplying the affected part .
In the shoulder compression can be at cervical spinal level Or local compression by a cervical rib... In both cases nerve suplying shoulder &arm is irritated &the symptoms are produced.
At the hip region ..similarly the compression of the nerve supplying buttock can be compressed at lumber spine OR at sciatic notch of pelvic bone locally to cause the symptoms.
*He should be investigated for is serum vitamin B12/fasting &postmeal blood sugars/X ray,MRI or CT scan imaging for locating site of nerve compression.
* In this context he should be taken to an Orthopedic doctor for his expert advise &treatment.
The treatment usually consists of anti inflammatory pills /Vitmine B12 (oral or injectable)/physiotherapy /surgery in unresponsive patients.
Thus with timely investgations & specific treatment he would not only be relieved of present complaints but also prevent further advancement of the problem in later age.
I hope that answers your query.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
