default
Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: My penis started burning about a week ago now has moved down between my anus and scrotum. Yesterday had a little rash on inner thighs. I also have oval shaped red patches just above my pelvic region. worst symptom right now is burning/pressure feeling between scrotum and anus. seems better when I stand up worse when sitting. worried about an std because of an indiscretion a few weeks ago but have a history of jock itch and have neuropathy in my feet. No flu like symptoms or fever and no visible sores or rash on penis or scrotum. I used an antifungal cream on my thighs yesterday and it seems better today

About 2 weeks and and again about a week with a sex worker. Protected but it might have slipped off. More of a burn than a pain and almost goes away when standing worse when sitting. Started on penis then moved to inner thighs and then to area between anus and scrotum. Seems to be gone in the morning and gets worse as day goes on.

Brief Answer:
No sexually transmitted disease. Simple fungal infection and urinary tract infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your details.

After reviewing the complete query let me reassure you first that your condition is not related to any type of sexually transmitted infection. So first and foremost XXXXXXX all your anxiety related to any sexually transmitted disease.

As your act was protected one so the chances of any major sexually transmitted disease is out of context.

Now for the part of various problems which you are facing:

The various oval shaped red patches just above pelvic region appears to be related to simple fungal infection.

Fungal infections are common type of infections which can affect anybody at any site. But more commonly it affects the areas which are more prone for sweating or moist areas (as in your case). More specifically these are related to the hygiene and environmental factors along with certain systemic complaints as in hormonal problem such as diabetes.

Due to hot and humid climate or due to tight and synthetic clothing,it leads to growth of fungus at any part of the body. Additionally persons who have bit excess of sugar are also prone for the growth of fungus.

For the betterment kindly follow the suggestion below:

- Keep your self away from hot and humid climate.

- Take two times bath.

- Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments to be changed two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.

- Do cold compression or warm water compresses according to the weather condition.

- Do not sit continuously for long hours.

-You can continue to apply the clotirmazole cream till complete clearance. Do not forget to maintain a good hygiene.

- You can take oral anti histamine like Des-loratadine (Claritin) two times a day under medial advise for burning and itching is present.

The part of pain between penis and anal region: As per the description of symptoms and its affected site, it appears to be related to either mild prostate infection or urinary tract infection (UTI). I suggest you to drink plenty of liquids to flush your urinary system.

Fungal infection as well urinary infection occurs frequently in person with high blood sugar or uncontrolled diabetes. So I suggest you to go for your complete diabetes investigation profile.

I hope above information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health and early recovery from the problem"

Brief Answer:
Maceration over the skin can cause variable burning sensation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up. In case if there is mild to moderated maceration over the skin then it can cause burning sensation. Fungal infection mixed with mild to moderate bacterial infection can also cause the burning sensation.

I suggest you to do cold compression or warm water compresses according to the weather condition. It would help you out in relieving the excessive burning sensation.

An antihistamine along with anti-fungal cream could help you better. Maintain good hygiene and do not sit for long time.

I again reassure you that your condition is not related to any type of sexually transmitted diseases. Just relax and do not worry for any sexually transmitted disease.

I hope above information will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.
