Brief Answer:
Most possible cause can be stress, greasy foods, alcohol, irregular meals

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Even if you do not eat spicy foods, you can get heartburn from other causes as well.
Stress is one of the main causes. Also, eating rarely and not in regular intervals. Eating greasy foods, genetics, ect.

I would suggest that you try taking Omeprazole 20mg or Lansoprazole 15 mg once/day for 2 weeks, before food. You should also keep in mind to avoid the foods that we mentioned above (if you eat them), to avoid smoking and alcohol, to eat in regular intervals, often and small amounts, to manage stress.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor which can do a physical exam and determine other possible causes of the heartburn (which I doubt because this is the most common one.

Hope this is helpful.
