Brief Answer:
If suspected a vascular condition, ER visit is advised.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Two are possible conditions that may cause your husband's symptoms:

1. pinched nerve

2. blood supply problems of the affected leg

Since your husband's primary care Doctor is not accessible, rest and use of Ibuprofen are necessary to improve symptoms.

If you notice any swelling, coldness of the affected leg that point to vascular problems the situation can't wait until he sees his primary care Doctor, and a visit at the nearest ER is necessary.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
