What Causes Burning Sensation In Stomach And Watery Stool?

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Jun 2016
Question: I'm experiencing severe burning in my stomach followed by liquid bowel movements and an occasional sensation to vomit. The burning stomach is becoming frequent, once every couple of weeks to once a week. The burning is intense and specific in location, the center of the stomach. Various things occur prior to onset, such as, eating or stress and diarrhea usually follows. What could be the problem? I'm new to the state of VT and do not have a primary doctor.

Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

In my opinion you have GI upset with stomach issues, Stomach inflammation and irritation can cause pain and burning. Mental stress can cause stomach and diarrhea issues too.

You need to do a few things..

Here is what i would advise you to do.

1) Reduce weight if you are overweight.
2) Avoid coffee, caffeine, cigarette , alcohol, energy drinks, fizzy drinks (what ever is relevant)
3) Use high fibre diet like whole wheat and XXXXXXX products.
4) Fibre supplements can be used.
5) Drink loads of fluids.
6) Eat more fruits and vegetables less fat and red meat.
7) Stomach issues and diarrhea can well occue due to mental stress so that needs to be addressed too.

8)For stomach you can take Tums or Syrup Gavisvom to control acid.
9)Eat smaller multiple meals instead of binge eating.
10)If this doesnt work in 7-10 days then contact doctor about further treatment options in that case i woule recommend my similar patients to take PPI (omeprazole 40mg daily) and A prokinetic like motillium

I hope this answered your question, a
