What Causes Burning Sensation In Chest?

Question: Woke up last night with a burning/cramping sensation in chest, kind if came in waves, thought it might be heartburn so I took some tums, it finally eased and got back to sleep, this afternoon the sensation has come and gone, felt this pain/cramp before, is this a heartburn issue or should I be concerned of a heart issue? Thanks in advance

The pain you are experiencing looks more like heartburn than a real cardiac issue, especially if antacids and PPI ease it.

However i recommend consulting your doctor to plan some examinations for a proper diagnosis. I would like to suggest the following exams:
- Blood work
- ECG
- Chest Xray
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Upper endoscopy
- Cardiac Echo
- Stress test

Based on the test results a diagnosis will be made and a proper treatment for your concern will be given.
