Brief Answer:
Please provide more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I share your concern
Looking at your description this seems to be related to number of conditions like
-Deep vein thrombosis
-Cellulitis
-Peripheral vascular disease or arterial insufficiency.

Here I would like further information for better assessment like
Since how long you have this problem?
Is it appearing only after exercise or it occurs even at rest as well?
Do you smoke?
Is there any swelling or redness present in calf region?

In my opinion you should avoid exercises or exertion until diagnosis confirms.
Take complete bed rest
you should take multivitamin and calcium supplements

Hope this answers your question
Please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more accurately.
Best wishes

This start after about three weeks ago. I have been working with a PT at home because the cast on my leg put on after surgery on knee cap. This cast to be on for six weeks and will con off 9/24/2015. The first threes were ok but on the fourth week the PT started the toe to hear stretch and that started the burning on the calf. each week it get worst with adding more toe to hear stretch. we keep putting on the back of calf.

Brief Answer:
Deep vein thrombosis or thrombophlebitis of superficial veins

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again and thanks for the details
Since you have already put on the cast and underwent surgery so there is a possibility of deep vein thrombosis or pressure due to tight cast

Pain and burning sensation in calf muscles following stretching of toe might be related to deep vein thrombosis or thrombophlebitis of the veins.

In my opinion you should consult your operating surgeon for physical examination and a colour doppler to rule out this possibility.

Meanwhile you should multivitamin especially vitamin B 12 and minerals supplements.

Hope this answers your question
Wishing you good health
