Brief Answer:
It can be due to neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Burning foot can be a common features in Diabetic patient. It is due to vitamin B 12 deficiency and peripheral neuropathy. Both are very common in Diabetic patient.
Your swelling in foot is due to edema. It can be due to following causes.
1. Due to high sugar or high blood pressure
2.keeping feet in dependent position for long time.
3.Post surgery edema remains for six to seven months.
So I would recommend you to get your blood sugar and serum B12 estimation. if there is deficiency of B 12 than you should take Methylcobal tablet daily.Your doctor might add Pregabalin at night time.
I hope this answer will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
