Hello and welcome
Your concern is appreciated
The ankle and feet stiffness can be due to osteoarthritis which is also said to be wear and tear arthritis, you need to be examined , x ray of the ankle and feet, MRI can also be done. Other causes are rheumatoid athritis , post traumatic arthritis. Again x rays and other imaging, blood tests are done to help in diagnosing. In gout there is tophi formation and the joint is swollen and extremely painful. Uric acid level are high in people like that but its not necessary. It may be due to reactive arthritis which can occur after an infection of genital, urinary, or GI systems , lupus, psoriatic and infectious arthritis are other causes.
Treatment include life style modification like losing weight, reducing high impact activties like jogging
Minimizing activities that aggravate condition.
Physical therapy like specific exercises can also help and increase range of motion and flexiblity. Medication include meds for pain , and specific ones like anti inflammatory once the condition is diagnosed.
Calcuim and vit D can also be advised.
Hope it helps
Thanks

Hello again.
The cause for peripheral edema should be determined. Renal and liver function tests including serum albumin should be done. Urine routine exam to look for proteinuria is also a requirement. An echo should be ordered to look for a cardiac cause.
Diuretics shold be initiated if cardiac failure is found to be the cause. Ultrasound doppler of lower limbs should be done to rule out any DVT.
wishing you best of health
Thanks
