Brief Answer: Fungal infection of the groin region Detailed Answer: Hi again I have seen the attached picture. You have developed a fungal infection of the groin region . You should avoid application of talcum powders as well as oils or any creams. Apply a topical antifungal cream like canestan cream over the affected areas twice a day . In addition, keep the affected area clean and dry. You can use an antifungal dusting powder like candid powder over the affected areas twice a day . You can continue to the this powder even after the infection heals so as to prevent recurrence . Wear cotton undergarments so as to decrease sweating . Use canestan cream for atleast two week continously . In addition , you can take oral fluconazole tablet 150 mg once a week for two weeks . I am sure this treatment should benefit you . You can follow up back in case of any problems . Dr Geetika Paul

Brief Answer: Mild fungal infection Detailed Answer: Hi again No , you need not worry about this infection. Once you take proper treatment, it will heal completely and should not recur. This is a very common infection of the groin region and it does not affect ones sex life in any way. Just take the treatment as told. I am sure it will heal up soon. Dr Geetika Paul
