What Causes Bump On The Tip Of Urethra?

Question: Hello, I have a bump on the tip of my penis/urethra. When I open my urethra, the bump is more pronounce and looks darker. The bump carries over from the tip of my penis to just slightly inside the urethra. It is slightly sensitive to touch. I have had pains in my bladder and lower back. I had a urine screening and it came back with no bacteria growth after 48 hours. My urine was "perfect" in regards to proteins, no blood..etc. I have recently had a full blood work done, besides cholesterol, I'm good. I get a slight burning sensation in the tip of my penis occasionally whether I'm urinating or not. It bothers me more when I'm sitting. I've had no discharge. I sometimes have an urge to urinate that is only slightly more than usual. I am going to see my physician, but I wanted to see if you had an idea of what it might be. Please, if I can send you a picture, I will. I really appreciate your time and help.

Brief Answer: It is due to inflammation of Urethra. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have inflammation of terminal part of Urethra and External Urinary Meatus. I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem. 1) Did you get this after having a unprotected sex ? 2) Does your female partner has vaginal infection ? 3) Have you done swab test of a secretion from bump? It looks to be inflammation of urethra and external Urinary Meatus (Urethritis). You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily. Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.
