Question: What is this bump on my pubic area I have been getting them since sometime last year I think and the first one I remember was on the bottom of my left inner thigh and it ruptured I had unprotected sex a week before I got the first one but only 2-3 have ruptured so far but they recur in the same spots and they are always skin colored and they always start off small and hard like the size of a nickel but by a few days later it's double the size and swelled with yellow fluid which once had a stringy snot like discharge besides that one time the discharge is a liquid yellow and oozes out after the bump ruptures also I only get them in my pubic area

Brief Answer:
Bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

According to the image you have uploaded and the description most probable reason of your symptoms is a bacterial infection of this area. In some cases, the skin is colonized by bacteria which can cause recurring skin bumps filled with pus.
Such infection can be triggered by shaving with non sterile shaver, diabetes, increased sweating.
You may try to follow few simple steps and see if this will help. Try to keep this area clean and dry. If its possible, remove the hairs with sterile shaver. Wear loose underwear. Wash this area with water and soap.

If this wont help, you should consult dermatologist.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
