What Causes Bruised Knee And Thigh Along With Slight Tingling Sensation?

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Apr 2015
Question: I had a femoral arteriogram on the 8th of this month. On the 11th I developed a large area of bruising on the back of my right thigh going to the back of my knee. It is cool to the touch with a slight tingling sensation every now and then. Bo blood or seepage from the insertion site. Should I be concerned with this. The wound was closed with a Mynx Closure Device.

Brief Answer:
Blood accumulated in subcutaneous tissue

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for the answers. Your bruise was most probably because of blood leak at the site of catheterization. Blood accumulates in the subcutaneous tissue and gradually changes its consistency which imparts color on overlying skin. It will take few days to absorb itself. You need not to worry. Just take hot water in a rubber bottle and place it at that site. It will give soothing effect.

If bleeding increases or is continuous from that site then you need to visit hospital.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
