What Causes Body Itching?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Oct 2014
Question: a few years ago, i travelled to the United States and during that time started itching (at the sides of my pants waist) alot every time i went shopping for clothing. it eventually turned into a rash that was very irritated and began to spread along the sides of my body. I had to go to a dermatologist to get medication for it and it was healed.

I am again in the United States today, trying on clothing and the itching has started at the sides of my waist and spreading. I cant remember what was prescribed, what can you prescribed?

Brief Answer:
Kindly provide pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi

From the description, it looks like either you had developed an allergic skin rash at the site or a mild fungal infection .
A look at the exact skin condition would help in reaching a final diagnosis.
It would be great if you can click some close up pictures of the affected area and upload them here on this page.
Also please tell if you had worn new clothes each time before the episodes of itching since this points more towards an allergic cause.
