Brief Answer:
One possibility is conjunctivitis (pink eye)

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Is your eyeball also pink? Because that could mean that you have conjunctivitis (pink eye) which is an infection, either bacterial or viral. Most are viral. Treatment is to apply very warm-hot wet washcloth to the eye several times a day. If that doesn't start to help in a day, then go to your doctor for your eye to be examined and antibiotic eye drops.

Without seeing your eye, conjunctivitis is the most common cause of discharge from the eye, BUT, there can be other infections and blockages that can cause this too. So, if after trying the hot wet compresses, it is continuing or worsening, then do go in to have your eye examined.

I hope this information helps.
