Brief Answer:
go to emergency

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question,
If this is a new and sudden finding it may mean that he is not getting enough oxygen. Some elderly patients can tolerate this condition without many symptoms but he really needs to be seen by a doctor or in emergency as soon as possible to make sure that he is getting enough oxygen.
