What Causes Blood In Urine?

Question: Last night I passed a considerable of blood in my urine. Since that time I have not seen any blood. The urine looks very clear. I had brachytherapy about ten years ago and hve had urinary problems ever since. e'g oab, and ED I had a cystoscopy about fiveyears ago and he found nothing but scar tissue.

Hi there,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

If you passed a considerable amount of blood in your urine last night, and today your urine was very clear, then, you need an urgent evaluation by urologist.

I also suggest to do:
- urine analysis (you might have microscopical hematuria which cannot be visible)
- spermatic fluid analysis and culture
- abdominal ultrasound

Depending on the test results, specific treatment will be prescribed. Meanwhile, I advise to drink plenty of fluids as the more diluted the urine is, the less chances for problems exist.
