What Causes Blood In Urine While On Celebrex?

Question: Hi Dr. , I am XXXXX, last week I passed urine with blood. I am taking Celebrex. Can it be the side effect of Celebrex?

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

Blood in the urine it is not a side effect of Celebrex. It causes damage in the stomach and bleeding from the stool but not any problem in the urine.

You will need to consider a urine analysis because what seems like blood may be a darker/higher concentration urine color which may happen sometimes. A urine analyse will tell it for sure.

Also, a kidney ultrasound will diagnose kidney stones which are the most common cause of blood in the urine.
