Brief Answer:
The most common reason for blood in urine is urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

The commonest reason for blood in urine is kidney or bladder infection. The infection can occur even without you having symptoms. It is called as asymptomatic bacteriruria.

The other reasons for blood in urine are:

-Medications like aspirin and heparin
- kidney stones ( There may be abdominal or pelvic pain)
--kidney diseases ( There will be associated symptoms like high blood pressure, body swelling, puffiness around eyes etc)
-Sometimes even excessive consumption of beet root can make urine appear red

I hope this is helpful.

If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama.
