What Causes Blood In Urine, Abdominal Pain And Blurred Vision?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Dec 2015
Question: Hi, Yesterday evening when I went to the bathroom my stool seemed normal but there was orange drops of what looked like spagetti sauce in the water. There also seemed to be an oily film in the water. Further, I had blood in my pee a couple of weeks ago and I feel think inside my stomach area around my back by my kidneys and under my left chest by ribs. Finally my eye sight seems to blur in the afternoons each day for about three months.
Any thoughts on this?

Brief Answer:
Need to evaluate

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

I am not too much concerned with the stool thing. it appears to me that some undigested material came out of with the stool, which is quite normal with some food components. Most likely, this will not persist in subsequent stools.

The blood in urine is also one episode couple weeks ago, but still, we usually recommend investigations in case of blood in urine. At least ultrasound of bladder/kidneys and urine routine and culture are required. The aches in abdomen also necessitate that these are done.

The blurring of vision is unlikely to be related to this and an ophthalmologist consult should do the job.

Overall, there is nothing much to worry. I will be available for followup.
Regards
