Brief Answer:
It looks like Internal haemorrhoids.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Blood in the stool can occur due to many reasons. Haemorrhoids are the commonest cause. Apart from Haemorrhoids;polyps, Fissure ,Cancer etc can cause bleeding per rectum.
In my opinion, he should consult a Surgeon, get examined clinically. His rectum has to be examined by finger (Per rectal examination )and visualised by an instrument called Proctoscope. In most cases, diagnosis will be confirmed by these two procedures.
If nothing is found in these examinations, then COLONOSCOPY has to be done.
Colonoscopy will visualise the entire colon including rectum, anus upto the Caecum.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Anti inflammatory medicines will not cause bleeding per rectum.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Anti inflammatory medicines may cause Gastritis, bleeding in the Upper gut from an ulcer etc.If bleeding occurs in previous stomach ulcer,it becomes black and tarry when it passes from the anus.
If the blood is bright red in colour, then the lesion will be in lower gut like Colon,Rectum or Anus.
Hope I answered your query.
Wish him good health.
