Question: I just started passing blood in my stool
do I need to see a doctor now or will it wait until tomorrow?

1. You need to consult a doctor now if you have any of the following symptoms
(i) Heavy bleeding in stools or bleeding that is persistent on more than a single occasion.
(ii) Pain in the rectum and anus region
(iii) Cramping abdominal pain of sudden onset
(iv) Feeling tired and weakness
(v) Difficulty in breathing or doing your usual daily activities at home
(vi) Persistent nausea, diarrhea or vomiting
(vii) Less than normal urine output
(viii) Dizziness and mental confusion of sudden onset

2. If you do not have any of the above symptoms then you can wait until tomorrow

3. Please have a soft diet and watch for more bleeding in stools if any.
