Question: why my sperm turn red color
doctor
Answered by Dr. Grzegorz Stanko (17 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Prostate inflammation is most probable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Red sperm color, indicates blood in the sperm (it is called hematospermia). Usually such symptom appears due to prostate issues including prostate inflammation or benign prostate hyperplasia (prostate enlargement). With prostate inflammation you may have also rectal pain, lower abdominal pain, burning while urinating.
Prostate enlargement can give weak urine stream, frequent urinating, recurring infections of urinary tract.
Other less common reasons of blood in the semen are varicocele, epidydimitis, prostate cancer or even testis cancer.

Last two possibilities, however less probable than other mentioned, should force you to consult urologist. Prostate ultrasound, PSA level, urine analysis and semen analysis should be done at first.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
