What Causes Blood Clots In Urine After Hemorrhoidectomy?
Question: Hi I had Haemorrhoidectomy last Tuesday, I started to have blood in my urine yesterday and passed 2 blood clots in my urine, is this normal? thanks

I am so sorry to hear about this blood clots that you have reported. It is not uncommon to report this after hemorrhoidectomy as inflammatory reactions of the urethra following surgery can lead to such. This will only be of concern if it lasts beyond say 5days and causes difficulties urinating. For now, monitor only, drink much water and I anticipate spontaneous resolution of these symptoms.
