Brief Answer:
it looks like herpes genitalis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description provided and pics attached,it looks like herpes genitalis. Herpes genitalis is caused by herpes simplex virus. It presents as painful fluid filled lesions or erosions and might be recurrent.

As you have mentioned that you get it every two months ie six times or more in an year, you may need to start acyclovir suppresive therapy. We usually prescribe acyclovir 400 mg twice in a day atleast for six months. This will reduce your frequent recurrences. However acyclovir is a prescription drug and should be taken only after a doctor's advise. For the same you need to visit a dermatologist nearby. Topically you may apply fusidic acid cream. Clotrimazole cream or fluconazole tablet serves no purpose in your case as its presecribed for fungal infection while you have a sexualy transmitted viral infection. Recurrent herpetic lesions tend to heal on own in three to seven days.

Hope this helped.
Take care

Brief Answer:
these medicines are quite safe

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
As such fluconazole and acyclovir are quite safe medicines and side effects are not commonly seen.
Nausea, vomiting, dizziness drowsiness may occur with these medicines. Acyclovir at times can affect kidneys while fluconazole can cause QT prolongation(heart issues) and liver problems. We usually tell our patients to report to us immediately if any untoward effect (no matter how trivial it is) is seen after starting medicines.
All these above mentioned adverse effects are quite rare. So we prescribe acyclovir and fluconazole very commonly for viral and fungal infections respectively. As far as my practice is concerned, I haven't seen patients showing adverse effects with these medicines.
Hope this helped

Brief Answer:
Most of them explained in previous replies

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I have explained most of your concerns in my previous replies. Please go through them again. Let me explain the rest in the serial order.

1. Acyclovir will only suppress the Herpes virus and won't remove it forever. As its a virus, it can only be suppressed.
2. Its caused due to herpes virus, could be due to sexual contact with infected persons.
3. Herpes can reactivate due to low body immunity. And yes, once herpes flares up it can cause some weakness to the body.
4. Usually its only the blister formation in the affected nerve supply area along with pain.
5. You can have anything which improves your immunity like fruits, fresh green leafy vegetables. For diet chart please contact a Dietitian as they would be the best person to prepare a diet chart for you.
6. During flare ups or sores avoid sexual contact and always use a condom to prevent spreading this to your partner.

Regarding side effects to the medications, please see my previous reply.

For confirmation to start the course, as explained before you need to see a dermatologist for confirmation and prescription of the medicines.

Hope this helped.
If no further clarifications, please close and rate the query.
