Brief Answer:
CHANCE OF PREGNANCY IS EXTREMELY LOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Taking I-pill within 6 hrs of protected sex will give more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy. Here, chance of pregnancy is EXTREMELY LOW or NEGLIGIBLE.

2) At present, she is getting withdrawal bleeding (similar to her period) due to effect of the emergency pill. It is quite common and natural phenomena. She would maintain her genital hygiene properly.

3) Most women get this type of bleeding after taking emergency pill. It generally stops automatically within 3 to 5 days and NO treatment is required.

4) Her next period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks from actual due date due to hormonal imbalance and associated mental stress. However, she must undergo one home pregnancy test if period delays more than 1 week. Early test is NOT significant.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and practice safe sex in future.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
