What Causes Black Particle Discharge From Nose Post Inhalation Of Pain Fumes?

default
Posted on Thu, 29 Jan 2015
Question: I inhaled paint fumes from Rust-e-leuom SPRAY Paint (for about 30 mins). It was black paint. Now when I blow my nose, little black particles are seen. Should I go to the ER? Does this mean that it is in my lungs? Is there a treatment for this in the ER or should I wait until tomorrow and see my doctor?? Finally, is there a medicine that he can prescribe to help me??
Thank you.

Detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

If you feel weakness, lightheaded, confused, or any breath problem, then you should go to the ER.

If not and the only thing that concerns you is black particles in your nose, you can wait to see your Doctor tomorrow.

Is it or is it not in your lungs, this depends in that you have or have not breathing symptoms.

Presence of black particles in your nose means that your nose has done its cleaning function.

Treatment is mainly symptomatic.

Hope this helps. If you have further questions feel free to ask.
