Question: My friend's four year old son has black triangles appearing in eyes.

Typically, if the black areas are not covering the pupil, it is not a problem. On very rare occasions, this could be a sign of increased pressure in the eyes. This is extremely uncommon in this age group, especially in the absence of other symptoms like headache or nausea.

in any case, it would be a hood idea to have him checked out by a pediatric opthalmologist as a precaution.
