What Causes Black Discoloration Around The Eye After A Head Injury?

Question: I bumped my head on Monday night. A lump appeared Tuesday morning, but nothing else. I was not dizzy, vomiting or disoriented. As a matter of fact, I went to the gym, ran and did Pilates and Yoga. Today, my left eye is black. I still feel well otherwise. what do you recommend.

I see that you are aware of the signs that may indicate brain injury, and none of these signs is present, so, in my opinion, you should not be worried about.

You should get medical evaluation only if any of the signs of brain injury will be present (nausea, vomiting, lethargy, cognitive impairment, etc.).

One black eye may be caused by small amounts of blood under the skin, it will turn yellowish and will disappear with time.
