What Causes Black Colored Stool?

Question: Black stool not caused by book. Have had complete GI, Stomach and Throat check up. Doctor has no answers. Possible causes? Next step?

not caused by blood (I misspelled) No sign of blood in stool. Not5 lactose intolerant.

Yes on tests you noted. Nothing out of the ordinary found. No blood in stool. No abnormalities in the GI. Hemoglobin normal.

Possible causes? What other internal organs might be involved? What additional tests would you recommend? I see my specialist next week.

if all these tests are normal then it may be due to diet rich in iron

Thanks for feedback. I have gone through all the medicines you are taking, none of them cause black stool. All test are normal then it suggest that it may be due to intake of diet which may be rich in iron like banana etc. So I will advise to discuss your dietary habits with doctor which seems to be the only cause of black stools in you
