Question: My child is 5 and half his oea in both ears normal pass, in abr threshold showing vpeak till 50db pure tone in left moderate severe and right moderate loss, like to know degree of loss any other investigation to b done

Hi....by what you quote I think your son has got bilateral hearing loss.

He needs MRI brain and auditory nerves. This will find out treatable causes like nerve compression.

More importantly he might need hearing aids and based on his language development, he might require speech therapy too.

I suggest you seek the help of an ENT surgeon who has experience in dealing with pediatric cases.

MRI has come normal in all respect, please guide me oea is also normal I have doubt is he doing selective listening ,bera showing mild to moderate loss again subjective , if you know someone in Blore pls suggest me regards
