Brief Answer:
Picture is needed....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Can you send a picture of your bald spo in the middle of your head? In this way, it will be easier for me to assist you further!

There are some kind of skin problems like ringworm that could be a cause. It is not a worm but it is a fungal infection of the skin.

Another factor can be stress causing hair loss.

Different treatment approaches are prescribed in either cases, that's why I need to:
- have a picture of the bald spot
- know if it is itchy?
- do you notice scaly skin?

Looking forward to have the picture in!

Brief Answer:
Alopecia areata....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for providing the photo.

I have noted that you have dandruff hair. If I was your caring doctor would advise to run skin scrapping and hair examination with KOH 10% to rule out fungal infection.

The baldness is caused by alopecia areata; which is not contagious, not an infection. Your body immune system is attacking hair follicles, causing hair falling. Fungal infection should be ruled out first. The best treatment is through corticosteroid injections locally and steroid shots.

As you say that you do not have insurance, I advise to apply Minoxidil cream locally for 1 week (can go for 2 weeks) and hair supplement containing vit.E.

As per your dandruff problems, I advise to:
- apply olive oil to your hair roots before washing; let it for around 10 mins
- wash your hair with antidantruff shampoo for oily hair

If no improvement, should consult with dermatologist and run the test as mentioned earlier.

Wish fast recovery!
