What Causes Atypical Mole In A Child?

Question: Hi,my son is 16 months and he developed a new like mole on his thumb and is not symmetrical.I'm taking him to the doctor on Friday but I'm so worried.Is it definitely smth bad?Do toddlers develop moles and atypical?Thank's.

It is not uncommon for toddlers to develop moles.
Yes they can e asymmetrical too.
It is mostly innocuous.
There may be many reasons most commonly local trauma.
If not increasing and no more new moles appear, i dont think there is anything to worry of.

This can look like a mole
