Question: I've been taking cymbalta 20 mg for a week and now upped my dose to 40mg. I've only taken The higher amount for two days. I am experiencing some jitteriness/anxiety. Is this Bc of the medicine and will it go away? Should I stick it out? Thanks!

Brief Answer:
I think you need to stick on

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for usng Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Cymbalta during the first week of treatment or on increasing dose causes some form of increased anxiety and jitteriness which generally resolves in a week or less time. I mean to say that the side effects experienced by you are time limited side effects which will probably disappear in a week or less time. Having said this I feel it will be better to continue the medication as prescribed and xanax on need basis if required.

I must acknowledge that if there is too much anxiety it is better to go down with 30 mg of cymbalta for a period of one week and than up the dose to 40 mg.

I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
