Brief Answer:
Ranitidine is ok

Detailed Answer:
omeprazole is a better medication for ulcers, and if indeed you have them, you should have been taking it twice a day. It would be rare for omeprazole to cause anxiety, however people react in different ways to medications, but anxiety is not common. in any case ranitidine should be enough, make sure you take at least 150mg twice daily and consult with your primary doctor. If you have multiple ulcers or had bleeding from the ulcer i would then favor trying another "ppi" (proton pump inhibitors, from the same family as the omeprazole), such as lansoprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole, etc.
hope that helps
