Question: Hi, i require urgent 2nd opinion regarding, Honeybee stung on the left cheek of 11 Yr old girl. Initially she fell unconscious and taken to the hospital where Doctor reported an Anaphylactic Shock and performed initial procedures like chest pumping etc to bring her back to consciousness. Doctor said that due to this the oxygen supply has been low to the brain and a swelling occurring in the brain due to which she was losing vision and sound capabilities. She was referred to XXXXXXX where she was initially kept at ventilator and after tests doctors declared "sluggish activity in brain" which is nearly to brain dead situation.
CT scan and EEG reports are attached herewith for ready reference please

Brief Answer:
Continue on treatment and ventilator

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and reports.
The symptoms and brain changes may be due to toxins and venom of bee sting.
The EEG report says generalized slowing which can be due to diffuse brain injury and involvement.
There is also compression over brain stem and brainstem signs may have been masked.
Better to continue supportive therapy, cerebral decongestant, steroids and antiepileptic.
