What Causes Anal Itching And Sporadic Anal Leakage?

Question: Been having anal itching and sporadic anal leakage on and off for the last 6 to 8 months and I was wondering if you could help me figure out if this could be caused by HPV. Main Symptoms: - Persistent anal itching with intervals of relief for several days to weeks on occasion - Sporadic anal leakage that is clear and without any smell - Mole on skin near anus - Occasional red irritation bumps around the anal area that go away when the itching subsidies - No visible presence of anything traditionally wart-like - No itching or pain on penis or genital area - 2 moles on penis that predate any sexual activity Please see attached images for references. Please note in the images that there are some abrasions due to recent vigorous scratching with my long fingernails. The whiteness in the images is residue from diaper rash cream. Please note the “mole” in the lower right area of the anus. Please also note the red irritation bumps mentioned above. Background: - Was tested a month ago for all STDs and tested negative - Only the an anal swab for HPV came back inconclusive - Had a MD STD specialist examine the area and inside the anus and did not say at the time it looked like HPV - XXXXXXX male who engages in receptive anal sex (once to twice a month) with glycerin free water based lubricant and latex condoms - Use once a week a rubber vibrating prostate massager with glycerin free water based lubricant in the anus - Usage of hemorrhoid cream caused increased pain - Usage of zinc oxide based diaper rash cream provides some relief - From August 2013 up until January 2014 was taking a raspberry ketone dietary supplement and generally exceeded the recommended daily dosage - Drink 4 to 6 cups of coffee and/or tea Monday through Friday - Exercise 3 to 4 times a week, generally including a 1 to 2 mile run and sweat profusely - Wipe vigorously when going to the bathroom If not likely to be HPV could something like this be stress related? Work has been extremely stressful and a cause of worry for me for the past 8 months. Could this be caused by diet and/or dietary supplements?

Brief Answer: anal yeast infection Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for using HCM, I would love to help I appreciate the detail that you provided and the pictures as they were very helpful in understanding your problem. I apologize in advance if my answer is much more brief than your question, as I believe that the answer to your problem is probably simple. I suspect you to have an anal yeast infection, and it can be easily treated with miconazol cream twice a day for two weeks. this is available over the counter. u don't think it is related to hpv or any other std. I hope this works and that you get relief soon! you can use a steroid cream like hydrocortisone for the itching I you need it, but I doubt you will need it. please let me know if you need more information. Regards,

Thank you for your response, no apologies necessary for the brevity. That is a relief to read and I will try that remedy out tonight. I thought maybe I should also include on occasion I also have issues with my tongue that coincide. The symptoms are itchiness, slight burning and tingling sensation on the tongue, heavy increased saliva production and inflamed taste buds. Today I have about 3 such inflamed bumps on my tongue. They appear generally on the top front center tip. No sore throat or difficulty swallowing. No foul taste or bad breath. It generally clears up in a few days I do suffer from allergies and occasional sinus infections. Could this be HPV? Does this change or alter your previous answer? If not any indication what it could be? .

Brief Answer: No problem at all feel free to ask as much u need Detailed Answer: I don't think it is hpv at all. it is possible that it is herpes, but I don't think so. it sounds much more likely that the symptoms in your mouth are also related to yeast and are a mild case of thrush. hopefully if you treat the topical yeast it will get better and the mouth symptoms will resolve too. however, if they don't resolve, you will need a prescription for a nystatin mouth rinse. however, it doesn't sound like that is necessary at all right now. see how it goes OER the next two weeks. please keep me informed, I want to know how things progress.

Thank you for your reply. I was tested for herpes less than a month ago and teated negative so I would assume its not herpes, especially given you dont believe it to be so. Does the tongue look like "lie bumps"? I also have seasonal allergies and i am having symptoms of a sinus infection, could the tongue symptoms be related to that? Thanks again.

Brief Answer: It might look like bumps Detailed Answer: If the bumps are small, it is possible, though herpes is also possible. It is difficult to tell without seeing it. The itchiness makes me lean more towards the yeast, but three distinct and inflamed bumps sounds a little more like herpes. I doubt that it is related to the allergies, though I presume it is possible. You can ask your doctor to look at your tongue and tell you what it looks like. Blood tests can be done for herpes if necessary.

The bumps are small. What if any other charateristics if herpes? Would these turn to ulcers and burst?

Brief Answer: Not necessarily Detailed Answer: herpes could appear is various ways, but they are usually larger, red, painful, and they could have some pus at the top. but if you tested negative recently and haven't had any new exposures then it is very unlikely that it is herpes. u don't think you need to worry about that possibility too much.
