Brief Answer:
You seem have acute retention of urine due to Enlarged Prostate ,

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acute retention of urine due to Benign Enlargement of Prostate which is common after the age of 60 years.

I would suggest you consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Renal Function tests.

He will be the best judge to decide further modality of treatment depending upon the size of the prostate .

In a given situation retention of urine signifies gross enlargement of prostate and warning signal to undergo surgery for removal of prostate .

I would suggest you to resect the enlarged prostate by an endoscopic surgery of TURP and make the urinary passage free of obstruction and to enable to pass urine freely .This will help you to improve quality of life .

This is a simple surgery dne under spinal anesthesia and helps to improve quality of life for forever .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
