Hi Dr. R.K

I have been having these symptoms for 2 days now but I think I have had them before occasionally over the last year or so.

The pain is about an inch above my belly button.

Nothing seems to relieve or worsen the pain. The pain seems to come at regular intervals of around 6 minutes and is spasm like. I can feel it starting and it builds up to being very painful for about 10 seconds and then eases off again. It's a bit like contractions but higher up in my stomach.

I am taking the following daily and have been for around 1 month:
Complete multivitamins
Msm glucosamine joint complex
Chlorella
Milk thistle

No other medical illness.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for providing the additional information.
The part of the abdomen where you have mentioned that you get the pain is where the stomach is located. So the most likely cause of pain of acid peptic disease.
You can take prilosec for relief.
If there is no relief and if there is abdominal distension and vomiting, then you need to consult your doctor for tests to rule out small bowel obstruction.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
