Brief Answer:
Glomerulonephritis can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Sudden weight gain and abdomen bloating makes ascites very possible. Tiredness, shortness of breath sound like heart failure or abdomen compression to chest.
Calves spasms indicate low potassium levels.
Puting all your symptoms together makes kidneys issue (glomerulonephritis) and or liver issues very possible.

You should consult your doctor. Liver tests, blood work (with protein levels), urine analysis and abdominal ultrasound are the first tests to be done.

Hope this helps.
Regards
Brief Answer:

Thank you very much for such a specific answer to help me begin the search for answers. Would an internal medicine Dr be my first try or wouldyou recommend different Dr or Specialist?
