Hello,
As per your symptoms, the possibility of an ongoing infection in the chest is high.
In all cases there is propensity of this infection to spread to the heart considering your age causing murmurs.
Hence it's advisable to consider a 2 dimensional echocardiogram of the heart to rule out cardiac involvement.
Meanwhile a short course of oral antibiotics will help to control the infection.
I generally prescribe oral pills of Amoxicillin plus Clavulinic acid to my patients with such symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you
