Question: What causes what seems like a sedation effect that is quite strong for me. i am 68 and take 200 mg twice a day

Hello,

The symptoms you are experiencing are common side effects of Lyrica occurring in more than 25% of patients using it.. However, the symptoms of dizziness,sedation and impaired coordination tend to be more intense on starting the medication and they improve and decrease in intensity by time as your body gets used to the medication.. If this continues more than two weeks without getting even slightly better then you should seek you doctor to decrease the dose..
